Wireless services leader Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) and subsidiary Smart Hub, Inc. piloted today a mobile device that will allow merchants and professionals to accept MasterCard payments even when they are on the go.
The device -- a card reader attached to a mobile phone -- was first used during Smart's Switch Madness event at Shangri-La mall. The mobile phone can also be used to check all credit card transactions completed at the end of the day.
